To become a patient, you must:
Be between 18 and 64 years old.
Be physically located in Tennessee at the time of your visit.
If you are 65 or older, we are currently unable to accept Medicare insurance. We are currently not taking Medicaid. If you have questions about eligibility, please reach out—we’re happy to help.

Due to the complex and specialized nature of gender transition care, we don’t currently manage transition-related treatments. We want you to receive the best possible support, so we recommend working with a provider or clinic that specializes in this type of care.

At Tennessee Valley Health and Hormones, we're here to support your journey toward better health and lasting wellness through compassionate, patient-centered care. To best support your health, we partner with your primary care provider (PCP). For this reason, we ask that all patients have an established PCP and a visit within the past 12 months.

Yes. Our nurse practitioners work in collaboration with physicians. You’re supported by a team dedicated to ensure you receive the highest quality of care.

Yes. Our nurse practitioners can prescribe medications that are directly related to the conditions we help manage. We focus on appropriate therapies that support your long-term health.
We don’t prescribe controlled substances. If you’re unsure whether a medication falls into that category, you can review the DEA’s controlled substances schedule or ask us for guidance.

After your visit, if medication is part of your treatment plan, your nurse practitioner will send your prescription electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. We also partner with trusted pharmacies, ensuring your medications are tailored to your unique needs.

Your nurse practitioner may recommend supplements through Fullscripts, a trusted online store for medical-grade products. Fullscripts ensures that the supplements you receive are of the highest quality, and setting up an account is quick and easy. You order directly through Fullscripts, and they'll ship the supplements right to your door. Of course, you're always welcome to purchase your supplements from another source. We recommend checking for third-party quality certifications.

No. You’re always welcome to access our services as needed. However, our Wellness Program is required for most ongoing prescription refills and continued management.

We’re a self-pay concierge practice and don’t bill insurance directly. This allows us to provide more personalized, thorough care without the restrictions of insurance-based models.
We’re happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many of our patients can also use HSA or FSA accounts for tax-free reimbursement.

Patients using insurance may select an in-network lab of their choice.
Patients electing self-pay receive preferred access to our partner labs with exclusive discounted rates.

Yes. We deeply appreciate the service and sacrifice of our military members, veterans, and first responders. We offer a $50 discount on new patient packages with valid proof of service.
